PURANA FOR WOMEN

According to the Shastras, there may be so many reasons for the Vedas being restricted to men alone and not being allowed for women. We also find that the Puranas like Bhagavatam and Ramayana have been advocated for women.

I feel that there is a very beautiful reason for the same.

Let us take simple analogy here.
A Ph.D researcher who is presenting his thesis will totally focus on the technical matters relating to his area of research. His work is all about his hard work and the technical accuracy of his output.
But if you take a poet or an artist, it is all about conveying an idea in an beautiful and artistic way.

Men by nature are more suited for hard work whereas women are personification of artistic abilities. Vedas are all about mastery over difficult scriptures and recitation of the Mantras. There is nothing to express artistically or relish there.
However Bhagavatam and Ramayana are so full of beauty and every drop can be relished and enjoyed. Therefore women are specially oriented towards them.
