THE TRUE PURPOSE

Sanathana Dharma lays lot of rules and restrictions for the purpose of purity and nurturing tapas. It is not due to disparities. However, the system is misconceived as one with disparities due to the perverted interpretations of people with selfish motives. The guidelines given by scriptures are testimony to this. The most rigorous guidelines are laid down only for sanyasis (renunciates). After God Realisation, Even that renunciate, need not abide by any restrictions with regard to food, place of living, company and all such matters. This goes to proves that the true intent and purpose of restrictions is purity and protection of penance.
