By the boundless grace of Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri PremikaVaradhan and our beloved Gurumaharaj, Krishna Janmastami was celebrated in a splendid manner with a large number of devotees paticipated and enjoyed the divine bliss.
On Avataar day by around 11 pm thirumanjanam was performed to Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premika Varadhan lamps were lit around Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premika Varadhan, namadwaar was decorated with flowers and decorative stuffs.
At exactly 12:00 am krishna jananam portion from Srimad Bhagavatham was read.
Maha Deeparadhana was performed. Little krishna was taken around, placed him on the swing(jula), sung Sri Guruji’s kirtans and celebrated Nandotsav by splashing butter, curd and turmeric on the Baby krishna and the devotees. Nama Chanting took place. Finally the day was concluded with prasad distribution to the devotees at around 01:30 am. 80 to 90 people attended.
From next day onwards, the celebrations started by waking up the divine couple at 6 am. Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri PremikaVaradhan, were eager and happy to go on a procession in the streets with the devotees, at 7 am with nama chanting.
By 08:30 am, Srimad Bhagavatha 10th Canto Parayanam started. By 11:00 am puja was performed and prasadam was distributed.
For the morning portions of the utsav around 50 to 60 devotees attended.
Throughout the day there would be nama chanting.
Evening from 06:30pm to 08:30pm, Srimad bhagavatha upanyasam took place, for which on an average around 120 to 150 people attended, and on some days it even touched 200.
Ekadasi day
Ekadasi day is really auspicious, that too during utsav is even more bigger. By 10:00 am, Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri PremikaVaradhan,followed by archana and Maha deeparadhana. Thirtha Prasad was given to all along with prasadam.
All the devotees contributed by offering milk, curd and other thirumanja stuffs.
More than 100 devotees participated.
Govinda Pattabhishekam
A really really important and auspicious day during utsav, Govinda Pattabhishekam.
A hill like structure was made with sand, stones, leaves etc., in the center of namadwaar hall.
Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri PremikaVaradhan was placed before the hill and Thirumanjanam was performed, Govinda Pattabhishekam from Bhagavatham was read and a short lecture of the above was also rendered. varieties of food dishes was scattered in front of our takurji, and with everyone crying “GOVINDA” nama, takurji was drenched with a variety of flowers. around 200 people attended.
Nikunja Utsavam
Takurji gave divine darshan on a jula, specially decorated with a variety of garlands.
Janavasam and Radha Kalyanam
The divine marriage of the divine couple was started with janavasam, taking the bridegroom for a procession down the streets, following which garland changing ceremony took place.
A local Mahila mandali team sung Astapathi, tharangam etc.
On the day of Radha Kalyanam, the mahila team completed astapathi singing and radha Kalyanam was performed for the divine couple.
For radha kalyanam alone 450 devotees participated.
By evening, Rukmini Kalyanam upanyasam was rendered and lecture series also concluded.
Ratha Utsav
On the final day of the utsav, by 04:00 pm, ratha utsav was celebrated for our Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri PremikaVaradhan with nama chanting, kolattam by ladies. Around 400 devotees participated.
By the divine grace, this year’s utsav came to a close.
A special mention and pranams to the families( ladies and young boys) who regularly do service at namadwaar, without their support this utsav would not be possible.
