Fond memories of bliss – Part 20

Sometimes, when I accompany Sri Sri Swamiji on tours, I have often noticed this—

When a few people come to Sri Sri Swamiji with their problems, He usually places a photograph of Himself in His hands, performs Japa for a while, or looks at it intently or keeps it on His head for a while before giving it to them. I had always been puzzled at this. Once I asked our Guru Maharaj, ‘You are giving your own photo to others. Would people not mistake it ?’
Sri Sri Swamiji said, ‘This is not a mere photograph. It has sanctity in it.’

Some days later, a person came crying to Swamiji and complained that he had purchased an apartment investing a fortune of money. He had taken heavy loans to own it and is paying huge installments but he had not got a single tenant yet. Sri Sri Swamiji immediately gave His own photograph saying, ‘Let me go inside your apartment first. Then you will see tenants following automatically’ and asked him to place the photograph in the new house. It was barely two days since, that the person returned with a broad smile on his face – he already had tenants to occupy his new apartment!

A similar incident happened with the brother of our Patasala Adhyapak Sri Jagadeesh Sarma. Sri Jagadeesh Sarma told Swamiji that his brother had purchased an apartment in a busy Chennai neighborhood but hasn’t had any tenants in a while. Sri Swamiji said, ‘Lets both go to the apartment first.’
Accordingly, accompanied by Sri Jagadeesh Sarma, Sri Sri Swamiji graced the apartment, and needless to say, within a week, tenants occupied it.
