Fond memories of bliss – Part 23

A common experience in the lives of many devotees is the amazing manner in which Sri Swamiji communicates with them. Devotees have felt the connections at so many levels. At times, an answer to a question that has been ringing in the devotee’s mind would come in Sri Swamiji’s lecture on that very day. At other times, even before the devotee opens the subject Sri Swamiji would Himself talk about that very same matter.

The other common experience is how Sri Swamiji would appear in the dream of the devotee and that dream would come true very shortly to the minor detail. About 7 years ago, Sri Swamiji had been on a trip to Ravanasamudram in Tirunelveli district. The locals had formed a committee for renovation of the local Shiva temple and Sri Swamiji had gone there to visit the same place. Many locals invited Sri Swamiji to bless them by visiting their homes. Amongst these was an old Brahmachari who performed lots of Gayatri japa; and, Sri Sri Swamiji visited his home, too.

That day happened to be the auspicious day of Thiruvadhirai. Sri Swamiji asked someone to get a garland from the Shiva temple. Once the garland arrived, Sri Swamiji garlanded the old man much to the amazement of all the locals. Only then it was found that this old man had been asking everyone around if they could see a garland around his neck over the past few days and everyone was awestruck when Sri Swamiji garlanded him !
