Fond memories of bliss – Part 43

This is an interesting incident that occurred years ago that goes to show how the most subtle thoughts that arise in a disciple are known to the Guru. There is nothing that is not known to the Master and on some instances as if to indicate that to the disciple, they reveal it.

Sri Sridhar from Anna Nagar is one of the ardent devotees of Sri Swamiji. His entire family including his wife, son and daughter have long surrendered themselves at the Lotus Feet of the Master.

One day, as Sridhar was at his residence, a sudden desire arose in his mind that he should receive Ganga-jal from Sri Swamiji. Later he came to Premika Bhavanam to have darshan of Sri Swamiji. When he reached Premika Bhavanam, he prostrated before Sri Swamiji.

The moment Sri Swamiji saw him, as if in a reflex response, He went inside His room, picked up something and came back outside. He beckoned Sridhar to come and gave that object to him. Sridhar was moved to tears and speechless! That object that Sri Swamiji gave him was a Ganga-jal Kalasham(sealed container with Ganga water). Sri Swamiji gave him a ‘meaningful’ smile which he alone understood…
Or is it even possible to understand the million ‘meanings’ and lessons that are taught through such divine plays!
