Go Samrakshanam

The people of our times have forgotten the importance of cow and bull. The Cow is the most important animal for human society and the Bull is the emblem of Dharma and Cow is the representative of the Earth. However, the importance of Cow and Bull is well understood by two brothers namely Sri Guruswamy Iyer and Sri Ramamurthy Iyer who hail from a tiny village named Senthagudi near Mayiladuthurai. They formed a trust named “Sri Jayam Trust” in the year 2007. They own three cow shelter facilities(Go Shala)- two in Vanathirajapuram village and one in Kathiramangalam which can accommodate over 5000 cow and bulls and named as GKV farms. Currently around 800 cows and bulls are being protected in these three shelters.

Few days back we came to know that around 60 unproductive “Umbalacheri” desi breeds are for auction in the Government cattle farm in Korkai near Thiruthuraipoondi. When our Guru Maharaj came to know about this, He took righteous decision and ordained to remit the required amount of Rs.3.5 Lakhs (Three Lakh fifty thousand) immediately to Sri Jayam Trust to rescue the cows and appealed to protect them in their Cow protection shelter GKV farms. They readily obliged.

Sri Swamiji ordained to pay obeisance to Sri Guruswamy Iyer and Sri Ramamurthy Iyer as they are doing invaluable service to the society by protecting destitute cows and bulls and also to offer prayers to the cows and bulls in the shelters.
