Sri Ramuji’s satsangs in Melbourne
By the benign grace of His Holiness Maharanyam Shri Shri Muralidhara Swamiji, Chennai, a blissful 10 day satsang was witnessed by the satsangis at various locations in Melbourne led by Shri M.K.Ramanujam ji.
The first 3 days Shri.Ramanujamji gave a wonderful context of the Bhagavad Gita. He explained about the beauty of Sanathana dharma and how it can be practically applied even for the modern day. He explained the essence of Karma Yoga, Bhakthi yoga and Jnana Yoga so that even a child could understand this.
‘We start by recognizing our needs (Kama). Emotions are our gauge and indicate to us our needs. Once we understand our needs and know to manage them, we prosper and thrive (Artha). Then we start living a life of values (dharma) by doing actions like our duties, bhagavatha katha shravanam, nama chanting. This leads to prema bhakthi which is also the highest state of Jnanam’.
Also, a two day Intelligent living series workshop for families was held, in which Shri Ramanujam ji practically explained how one could gauge their emotions, thereby understanding one’s needs, and practice ways to manage the needs intelligently.
Not just that, also a “Practical ways to self improvement” workshop for kids was held, where Shri.Ramu ji clearly guided the children to focus on the efforts rather than the results, and how by harnessing their energy on the efforts, it will thereby lead to a learning outcome and growth mindset.
In the Ashtadala Pushpam talks, Shri. Ramu ji also enlightened the devotees to the eight practical ways of living and attaining the highest state of Jnana .
This was followed by the Ramayana series for 7 days where Ramu ji quoted various pramanas from Valmiki Ramayana Azhwars, great saints and poets like Tulsidas, Kambar to describe the various dharmas shown by Rama himself. He transported all our Namadwaar devotees to Ayodhya as Rama Bhakthas by pouring the essence of Rama Guna Smaranam . It ended with a grand finale of Seetha Kalyanam, Hanuman Utsavam and Mass prayer of Maha Mantra Chanting attended and enjoyed by many devotees.
